Please be aware that there is a planned power outage on September 21, 2025 from 8:00AM up until 2:00PM .

The entire town will be without power to accommodate FORTIS Alberta's upgrade to their infrastructure. FORTIS is the electrical distribution company that delivers electricity to the Town of Cardston through a main line that enters Town from the North under 1st Avenue (the Waterton Highway). 

Please expect to be without any power that day and plan accordingly.
