Scavenger Hunt (with prizes)

The Cardston Historical Society is hosting a scavenger hunt using QR codes and clues to navigate from historical site to historical site in Cardston. To start, visit the Card Home to get your first clue.

Yard of the Week: The Town will be holding a "Yard of the Week" competition during our Heritage Week August 6-11, 2020. A winner will be announced for different categories each day (see each day below).

MONDAY

Cardston Pool Hawaiian Pool Luau. (During Public Swim 1:15-3:15, 5:00-7:00)

Yard of the Week: Best COVID Decorated Yard (Front yard must be decorated to describe your idea of what COVID has been like. You can decorate using masks, gloves, signs, or anything else that screams COVID to you.)

TUESDAY

All Day: Rock Painting Competition

For all you amazing rock painters the Town of Cardston is going to host a ROCK PAINTING COMPETITION as part of their Heritage Days celebration week!

Rocks will be dropped off to Iaslyn and Candace Atwood at Atkins store on August 4th and 5th. This gives you 2 weeks to find the perfect rock and make the perfect painting.

The following age categories will be available for entry (based on age at time of entry):

  • Under 4
  • 4 & 5 years old
  • 6 & 7 years old
  • 8 & 9 years old
  • 10 & 11 years old
  • 12 – 14 years old
  • 15 – 18 years old
  • Over 18
  • Long term care seniors

1:00 p.m. Demonstration Pow Wow Dancers: Court House Museum

2:00 p.m. Demonstration Pow Wow Dancers: Chinook Lodge

7:00 p.m. Extreme Horse Race

Yard of the Week: Most Floral displays, flowers, or unique flower displays.

WHEN:   FRIDAY, AUGUST 7th and SATURDAY, AUGUST 8th
TIME:   Start and end times to be determined by number of participants.
WHERE:  Town Square Tennis/Pickleball Courts
WHO:    Open to anyone living in the Cardston County

Register with a partner or Register and we will try to match you up with one, we will try our best to accommodate anyone who wants to participate. 

You will play in the age group of your youngest player.

Individuals SHOULD NOT ATTEND if you are immuno-compromised, do not feel well, or have been asked to self-quarantine or if you exhibit any of the following symptoms...fever, cough, shortness of breath, headache, runny nose or sore throat.

Yard of the Week: Most Patriotic Decorated Yard (Front yard must be decorated to show your patriotism to either our wonderful Country, Canada, or else for our wonderful community, Cardston. You can decorate using Canada or Town flags, wagon themes, or anything else that shows your patriotism.)
