COVID-19 UPDATE - July 30th

July 30 2021

Letter to citizens July 30, 2021

Dear citizens,

Today I will address Covid 19 update and non-Covid items.

Covid 19 upgrade!

As you may have noticed, the news broadcasts are tracking numbers of active cases and hospitalizations in Alberta. In the Province, numbers of active cases have doubled in the past 5 days, a trend that AHS keeps an eye on. The Delta variant is the new source of aggressive infection rates. In the Cardston-Kainai Health region that includes the Town of Cardston and the County of Cardston as well as the Blood Reserve, we presently have 5 active cases. Heritage week is coming up and we have a tremendous amount of activities fit for all ages. We want you happy and healthy. So be always aware of your surroundings and use your best judgment and precautionary measures where needed to protect yourself and your family against Covid.

If you have not already done so, please visit the calendar on the Town website www.cardston.ca/calendar which is packed with events for the week.
