Recreational Facility and Playing Field Bookings

Cardston has a number of great recreational facilities. These facilities have public access times and are generally available for rental by private groups during allotted times.

Agridome

The Agridome provides a place for people to ride and practice timed events out of the weather. The Agridome is situated on 20 acres of land and features a heated indoor arena with a warm up area and slide track. The facility can accomodate up to 160 horses. There are also two outdoor arenas making it the perfect place for team roping and barrel racing.

Charlie Cheesman Memorial Ice Arena

The Ice Arena in Cardson is named after Charlie Cheesman, a prominent figure who moved to cardston in 1911 and dedicated much of his life to promoting sports through the Cardston Armature Athletics Association. Thanks to the donations of our many service groups in Town, public skating is available for free at the Cardston Ice Arena.

Lee Creek Campground and Reunion Centre

The Lee Creek Campground is located on the banks of the Lee Creek in Cardston. The campground has 33 fully serviced RV lots (power, water, sewer), 10 partially serviced lots (power, water) and many non-serviced and group tenting sites. All sites include fire pits and picnic tables. The Reunion Centre can be booked up to two years in advance.

Lee Creek Valley Golf Course

The Lee Creek Valley Golf Course is an 18 hole Les Furber designed course. The course also has a driving range,  full scale practice greens and a sand bunker for your warm up needs. The clubhouse has merchandise for sale and offers basic food services.

Lions Park

Lions Park features a ball diamond and a football field and track. The football field hosts the Cardston High School Cougars, multiple time Provincial Champions. The Town owns these fields. Call 403-653-3366 to arrange rentals.

Redford Park

Redford Park features two softball diamonds, washrooms, and a small playground. One of the fields has lights for playing games into the evening. To book these fields, please call 403-653-3366.

Cardston Swimming Pool

In 2014 a large scale renovation of the pool basin was completed. The new basin now provides a six lane pool, with an attached wading pool, lazy river, and toddler pool. The pool is available for rentals, but is bookings are only accepted between May and August. Call 403-653-3982 to book the pool or for information

Town Square

Town Square features three ball fields, two tennis courts, washrooms, and a large playground. To book the ball fields, you can call the Town Office at 403-653-3366.

Tanner Centennial Seniors Centre

The Tanner Centre is the hub of the Seniors Associations activities throughout the year, and is used by a number of groups for different activities including the Baptist Church's weekly services, hearing aid clinics, flu immunizations, and others. To book this facility please call 403-901-3039
