Notice of Election and Requirements for Voter Identification

LOCAL JURISDICTION: TOWN OF CARDSTON, PROVINCE OF ALBERTA
Notice is hereby given that an election will be held for the filling of the following offices:

Voting will take place on the 16th day of October, 2017, between the hours of 10:00 am and 8:00 pm. Furthermore, advanced voting will offered on the 11th day of October, 2017 between the hours of 4:00 pm and 8:00 pm. The voting station will be located at the Civic Centre in at 67 3rd Avenue West.

In order to vote, you must produce identification for inspection. The identification must be one or more of:

  • Government issued photo identification which establishes your name and current address (passports are not acceptable forms of identification as they do not establish your current address).
  • Document which establishes your name and address of your current place of residence, such as as your most recent utility bill, tax assessment report, etc.

as required by section 53 of the Local Authorities Election Act or bylaw.
