Cardston Financial Indicator Graphs

The 2016 Tax year is soon upon us, the government has released their budget, the mill rate will soon be set, and tax notices will be sent out in the beginning of May. 

As far as rates go, compared to a group of 108 similar size urban municipalities, or to rural municipalities with similar tax base, Cardston has rated just below the median for the past several years. 

For property assessments, Cardston rates well below the median, near the bottom of the range, with an equalized assessment lower than most municipalities in Alberta, including: Coaldale, Coalhurst, Fort Macleod, Taber, Claresholm and Pincher Creek.
