Notice is hereby given that a special meeting of Council will be held on Tuesday, January 16th, 2018 in Council Chambers to discuss the proposals received regarding the operation of the Cardston Golf Course. Due to the nature of the discussion, the meeting will not be open to the public.
A minor amendment is proposed for the Land Use Bylaw. The current bylaw does not allow for the development of Drive-through restaurants in the Central Commercial Area (i.e. Main Street) even though a drive-through already exists there. The proposed bylaw will amend the land use bylaw to add Drive-ins/drive-throughs in the Central Commercial area as a permitted use. Below is the legal notice required by the Municipal Government Act.
The Town is launching a new Municipal Alert System on November 14th. Residents with listed phone numbers, and those who register other numbers at cardston.ca/alert will receive an automated phone call announcing the new system next Monday at noon.
PURSUANT to sections 230, 606 and 692 of the Municipal Government Act, Revised Statutes of Alberta 2000, Chapter M-26, as amended, the Council of the Town of Cardston in the Province of Alberta hereby gives notice of its intention to consider Bylaw No.1647, being the new Town of Cardston Land Use Bylaw.
