Heritage Tree Ceremony

"The Fathers of Confederation"

Elm Trees-3.jpg

The five American Elm trees (Ulmus americana) planted  on May 11th, 1931 on the grounds of the Cardston Court House, now the Courthouse Museum, were designated as Heritage Trees by resolution of Town Council–at the request of the Cardston Communities in Bloom Committee–during the Regular Meeting of Town Council held May 9th, 2017.

A ceremony will take place at 4:30pm, Thursday June 29th at the Court House Museum to commemorate the designation, and unveil a new sign recognizing the trees as heritage trees.
