Municipal Alert System One Call

The Town is launching a new Municipal Alert System.

A one-call alert will be issued at noon on Monday November 14th. This alert will send an automated message to every phone number in our database. Currently the database has been pre-populated will all Cardston numbers listed in the 411 phone directory. Additional numbers can be registered by visiting:

The new system is replacing the existing CodeRED system the Town has been promoting for the past couple of years. The CodeRED system was based in the USA, and had limitations. One of these limitations was access to the database of registered users, as a result, if you were previously registered with CodeRED, then you will need to re-register with the new system, as the CodeRED privacy policy will not allow us to transfer their database into our new database.

The new system is Canadian based, and provides unlimited usage, so the the Town will now be able to use it to alert residents about utility service interruptions and important community announcements, as well as in the event of a serious municipal emergency.

For more information about the Municipal Alert System, come visit the Town of Cardston's information table at the 29th Annual Community Awareness Evening on Monday, November 28th, 2016.
