Golf Course Advisory Committee

At the February 27th, 2018 regular meeting of Council, a new bylaw was passed to create a public advisory committee to advise on matters pertaining to the overall operation of the Lee Creek Golf Course. The committee will also provide advice on the future of the Cardston Lee Creek Golf Course and any other matters which relate to the challenge of continued improvements of this excellent community facility including: strategic planning and capital infrastructure improvements. 

The committee shall consist of five (5) voting members. Four of the members will be paying members of the Lee Creek Golf Club, and the fifth will be a citizen at large from the community. 


The function of the committee will be to advise Council on the opportunities and requirements for the operation of the golf course such as:

(a)    Staff levels
(b)    Operational budget
(c)    Schedule of fees
(d)    Marketing initiatives
(e)    Fundraising
(f)    Capital planning

The committee with also be responsible for:

  • The formulation of ad-hoc committees as specific issues and projects requiring dedicated resources arise;
  • Consideration and recommendation on all matters referred to it by Council;
  • Formulation and recommendation to Council and/or Administration on matters within its policy areas.

At this time the Town is calling for interested parties to submit their names—accompanied by a letter briefly detailing their experience and qualifications—for consideration to the Town Office either in person or by mail or email, addressed to:
