Work crews are responding to another break at the same water main which was affected last Wednesday. Within the hour they will be shutting off water to the same residences as before: South of 6th Ave West on 4th Street West, and between 4th and 5th Streets West, including 4A Street West [click to view map]. The backhoe is already on site so they can open the ground again and attempt to uncover where else the water main may be damaged, and what may be the cause of the damage.

At this point there are no estimates as to how long the water will be shut off, but updates will be posted as information becomes available.

Thank you once again for your patience and understanding.

Works crews are still investigating the extent of the damage, and are dealing with frozen ground as they work to uncover the water main in order to inspect it. At this time they anticipate they may be working late into the evening, so residents in the affected area may be without water until late tonight or possibly longer.

More updates to follow as information becomes available.

1:05 pm.

Town workers are on site repairing a water main break at the intersection of 4th Street West and 6th Avenue West.

Residents within a 2-3 block radius of this intersection may be affected and be without water until the main is repaired.

At this time it is unknown when services will be restored. We apologize for the inconvenience this interrupt may cause, and thank the community for their patience as we work diligently on the repair.

Updates will be provided as soon as they are available.
